Adam and Eve knew such perfection once,
God's finger within the cloud, and at the ground
Nothing yet springtime, not anything else at all.
But in our fallen nation the place the blood hunts
For blood, and rises on the looking sound,
What will we recognize of lasting because the fall?
Who has now not, within the oil and warmth of youth,
Thought of the flourishing of the almond tree,
The grasshopper, and the failing of desire,
And suggestion his tongue may perhaps pierce the secrecy
Of the six-pointed starlight, and can choir
A secret-voweled, unutterable truth?

Treaties are possible but timing is everything. O, the bliss of a defined domain. Where have you gone? I am waiting on divined revelations. The eye will only bring the train this close. Page 40 The Holy Grail If it were simple, would we have come? Armored from skull to boot tip astride a snorting beast. When we arrived this littered hill was clean. And those we came to fight, to tame had everythingso it seemed. Dust pours from the Cathedral dome. Bodies absorb the damp ricochet of a pigeon trapped against glass.
A river limped by, refusing comfort, a cool mere. Once on a back yard swing I became the sky I meant to be. Last night, in a dream we were driving on ice. . All our lives we carry a condition inside. Too late we realizedry sand dust, what might have been a house. To be pure, to begin again at zero. Mulberry stains. Indelible marks in hidden places. No longer resisting; unfolding with ease; revealing scars from wounds that were slow to heal. The sky here is streaked with tile. You bloom in this forest of white.
Clock doesn't care where I'm going, skidding bruised on cracked ice. Begs me to name the beating heart, in the tigerwood box just next to it. At fourteen I ignored sound; it was a matter of courage. As when you dream the faint chewing of locusts and hear the rock that signals the landslide. You know what will happen. You'll abandon the crops, repair the mountain again. Granite hugging granite its passion spent, landscape of fretted rock bristling with lichen grown ripe on pure air and indolence.
